# EditEngine

> EditEngine is a Shopify bulk product editor by Profitonium Apps. It lets merchants filter products and variants, preview proposed changes, run or schedule bulk edits, undo app-native runs from History, and import or export CSV/XLSX files.

## Important distinctions

- App-native bulk edits can be previewed and undone from EditEngine History.
- Destructive CSV imports are not equivalent to app-native edits. Keep the original export and test a small file first.
- Percentage edits compound when repeated; they are not idempotent.
- Product and variant metafields have different scopes and header formats.
- EditEngine supports Matrixify-compatible imports and exports, but Matrixify remains better suited to cross-platform migrations and standing FTP/Google Sheets pipelines.
